| MMAF members, Another area of discussion is what Joe Rogan seems to always touch on and that is the "Rubber Gaurd" by Eddie Bravo. I am not familiar with this approach so I didn't know if this system is something that is going to evolve into a mainstream form that I should be aware of in competition? Ross

| This is a name created by Eddie Bravo to describe a portion of the techniques he teaches. Although his techniques are valid and effective for some people, it is my experience that it requires a great deal of flexibility to make a large number of these techniques work. Maintaining good posture in someones guard prevents the attacks Joe was referring to. I certainly believe that it is important to learn from as many approaches as possible to be aware of all of your competitors options and attacks.

| Thanks Klint, I did a little research tonight and it appears to me that the so called old establishment refuted him (Eddie Bravo) for developing his style, system or whatever you might call it. The beauty of MMA Faestro lie within the open mind to the evolutionary development of the art. How fortunate we are to be involved in a community that welcomes progress and not stagnation. I mean how stinken good can someone be? You and Dave saying John Danaher is in his own galaxy. Who is to say that There just might be a kid out there that will take the rubber gaurd throw in a little guerilla jiu jitsu add a little combat wrestling and come out with system Bad ***. I would like to see this John Danaher as one of our instructors. Come on Klint tell us more about him. Anyways,Thanks for the info and the best site on the net, Arnie

| klint, what about adding an interview section were the instructor talks about his personal philosophy of judo, jiu jitsu, etc. I personally find it extremely interesting when you hear black belts, like yourself talk about there views and philosophy of thier martial art. Also would like to see some content with you instruucting, since I can't ever make the morning class.

| Thank you for the compliment. We are adding that section very soon. There are many things we are adding this year as we grow but for now you can see flavio Cantos interview on his page and Kenny Florian will be coming soon. We will be getting interviews from all of the instructors as well others that are not on the site. Great suggestion! Keep them coming.

Just have Paul S come back and do more topics. More guard stuff, attacking the turtle, defending the turtle and whatever this guy has to show would be great to see.
That guy is an excellent instructor!
